These terms apply to the Caret browser extension and website (together, "Caret"), operated by K DHUSHYANTHAN, Bengaluru, India ("we", "us"). By installing or using Caret you agree to them.
Caret sends the text you type in web text boxes, after you pause, to our server and to Google's Gemini API to correct grammar, spelling and punctuation, and places the corrected text back in the box. Corrections are produced by an AI model and can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing what you send or publish.
Don't use Caret to break the law, to send spam, or to try to disrupt, reverse-engineer or overload our service. Pro's "unlimited" fixes are subject to fair use of 1,000 fixes a day per install. We may suspend access that breaks these terms.
How we handle data is described in our privacy policy. In short: the text you write is not stored, except a single sentence when you press Report on a fix.
We work to keep Caret running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue Pro while you have time left, we'll refund the unused part.
Caret is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the content of messages you send. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll say so in the extension or on this site before it applies.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
