Caret Add to Chrome

How to fix grammar in WhatsApp Web automatically

A short guide, updated November 2026

WhatsApp Web has no grammar checker, and copying each message into one takes longer than writing it. Caret fixes the message in the WhatsApp Web text box itself, a second after you stop typing.

Steps

  1. Add Caret to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Open web.whatsapp.com and pick a chat. If WhatsApp Web was already open and nothing happens, refresh the tab once.
  3. Type your message and pause for about a second before pressing Enter. Caret fixes it in the message box.
  4. Check the small note showing what changed, then press Enter to send. Undo is one click if you want your version.
